FREEDOM THROUGH EXPRESSION

An art exhibition featuring artwork made by the activists and organizers that are Mass Liberation Nevada.

This exhibition is the culmination of a multi-month period of time in which 33.G created space with for the Mass Lib team of organizers to freely express themselves through the visual arts. Participants all received an individual “art kit,” were introduced to the basics of visual art and how these tools can be used in a number of ways from the therapeutic and spiritual, to the very real utilization of art tools to document and tell our own history (ourstory).

This workshop and exhibition series has been completed with Mass Lib youth as well as the main cohort of organizers, it is our sincere hope to now be able to take this work into the jails and prisons themselves. Stay tuned for our next chapter.
