The Living Black Pillar is an homage to the beauty, strength and resilience of the powerful individuals that have been the backbone of the Historic West Las Vegas community, as well as the broader African- American community. Coming up from the ground with the foundation laid by our ancestors, the pillars spring from the soil reaching heights only dreamed of in our ancestors’ lifetimes.
