The original art gallery late night where we come together to converse, create and catch a vibe. This is a space for people who enjoy the company of like-spirited individuals intentionally choosing a low key, late night environment for art, music and conversation.
We’ll have art supplies out and available, prompts for conversation and creation, and an intentionally curated Black american playlist.

This is more than a discussion; it is a space where storytellingand community building meet. Whether we are dissecting a text or analyzing the world around us, the dialogue is driven by a shared desire to learnand grow.

Black Art School
At 33.G
Black Art School is a bi-monthly education series taught by experienced Artists, Curators and other Arts Professionals on location in the gallery. Participants will have an opportunity to be introduced to various art-based subjects in both lecture & hands-on formats.

Exploring the feminine in African-American Art
Join us for this broad survey on expression by, and the depiction of, the feminine in African-American Art.
From the celebration of the female form, to the critique of Black womens’ relationship with western society, we will examine a wide range of powerful perspectives, explored in a number of different media.

MOVIE NIGHT at 33.G is where we come together as a community to watch a film and have a follow-up discussion on our thoughts, observation and connections the film may have to our present lived experience.
We will have popcorn and snacks available for purchase!

The House of Dies Drear
This 1984 film follows a young Black man and his family as they move into a home in rural Ohio that they discover was used by a Dutch immigrant to smuggle runaway slaves to freedom during the Civil War. Soon they begin to suspect that the ghosts of slaves who passed through there are haunting the house. Based on the 1968 children’s mystery novel by Virginia Hamilton.
